Sonu Herrera

NATIONAL EDUCATOR

Sonu Herrera represents a new generation of Belgian hairdressers bringing together contemporary cutting, fashion, education, and cultural awareness.

Based in Belgium, he has built a growing reputation through salon work, education, editorial projects, and international fashion, combining strong technical foundations with an instinctive understanding of taste, identity, and image. While recognised for his expertise in contemporary men’s hair, his work extends across both women’s and men’s cutting, always guided by the same attention to shape, style, and individuality.

Recognised as Belgian Men’s Hairdresser of the Year, Sonu’s work has also taken him backstage at major fashion shows and into international publications, establishing him as one of Belgium’s most exciting emerging creative educators.

ABOUT SONU

CREATIVE PHILOSOPHY

For Sonu, hair begins with observation.

| Fashion
| Photography
| Book
| Cinema
| Anime
| Street culture

Even the things others may dismiss as imperfect or unconventional can become a source of inspiration.

His work is deeply rooted in technique but unorthodox in expression, combining contemporary cutting with editorial thinking, cultural references, and a strong sense of personal taste.

He believes creativity begins when hairdressers stop thinking only as hairdressers and start paying closer attention to the world around them.

| Because the way you see shapes the way you create.
| Kaizen — grow a little, every single day.

EDUCATION APPROACH

Sonu believes education should develop both technical ability and personal taste.

Recognised for his contemporary cutting approach and particular expertise in men’s hair, his sessions combine clear demonstrations, strong foundations, and practical execution, helping students understand each stage before moving forward together.

His approach is direct, accessible, and built around achieving maximum impact with minimum complication.

Beyond technique, Sonu encourages hairdressers to research, question, and develop their own visual identity rather than simply repeat what they have seen elsewhere.

| Because technique builds confidence.
| Taste creates identity.

GLOBAL HAIR COLLECTIVE

Within the Global Hair Collective, Sonu serves as a National Educator for Belgium, working alongside Head of Education Belgium, Marino Lambrix, to support the development of education across the Belgian market.

Through national education, creative projects, and industry events, he contributes his contemporary cutting expertise, bringing a particular strength in men’s hair while helping strengthen the skills, confidence, and creative awareness of the next generation of Belgian hairdressers.

His role reflects the Collective’s commitment to developing strong local education teams built around collaboration, shared standards, and continuous growth.

WHY BOOK SONU HERRARA

| Because great technique deserves great taste.
| Because contemporary cutting is about precision, identity,
and purpose.
| Because the strongest artists never stop refining the way they see.
